Key points of Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana 2024
- This scheme is being run by the Government of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Fertilizers and Public Distribution.
- In the other scheme, under NFA 2013, 2 categories of all poor families and beneficiaries of Antyodaya Anna Yojana were included in it.
- Under this scheme, a relief package of 1.70 lakh crore was brought for all the poor during the first wave of coronavirus. So that the work was done to provide direct benefits to the poor. Such as ration, health insurance, providing Jan Dhan accounts to poor women, providing an amount of ₹ 500, etc.
- Under this package, the ex-gratia amount of poor senior citizens, and poor widows and disabled has been increased from 1000 crores to 3 crores.
- 8.7 crore farmers will be paid for the month of April through PM Kisan Yojana.
- As many as 3.5 lakh workers and construction workers have been registered with the welfare fund centre created by the central government under the Act. With this, any assistance amount given during Kovid will be transferred directly to their bank account. Which will benefit them directly.
